 Introduction Minimize

Stirhauf is the location of my campaigns for Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, a town of the Empire in the province of Stirland. It is presented here as a resource for my players and for any GMs who wish to pillage or use it for themselves.

Initially there will be descriptions of some of the locations in and around Stirhauf, alongwith notes about notable locals, events and adventure hooks. These will be followed up with various articles, including the Piemakers' Guild, Ruins of Karak-Ogarn, Crumbly's Bar, Black Tree Coaches, Graven Hill, a town map and the Mill.

Feedback and suggestions welcome!

 Stirhauf Overview Minimize

Standing on the river Staug, a tributary of the Stir, Stirhauf is a bustling town in Stirland a days’ travel inside the Great Forest. It stands on the trade route between Flensburg and Kemperbad, exports iron from the Stirhauf Mine downriver and acts as a stopping place for visitors to the Shrine of the Flaming Hammer. A large dwarf population calls the place home, looking to restore their fallen home of Karak-Ogarn in the Stirhugel.

Life in recent years has been made more interesting by treasure seekers looking to loot tombs in the Stirhugel, the politics of the Piemaker’s Guild, expeditions to ruined Karak-Ogarn and halfling bandits. Adding in rumours of assassins, witch-hunters, a corrupt mayor and Tilean gangsters, it is of little surprise than fortune-seekers and drifters find their way here.

Due to an ongoing dispute with the Imperial Cartographers, the town does not appear on most maps, meaning that many are unaware of its location or existence.
